about

12 duos, short and not so short ones, composed in the moment. We chose the finest pieces. No additional editing. Live recording.

' This is totally improvised music. It's recorded in an old chapel. Two musicians, Male and female. Wind instruments and strings. Wood and metal. Stone wall acoustics.

The listener: you and me will hear two master improvisers making something that you normally will not hear on today's improv scene. Beautiful melodies pulled out of abstract sounds. Two very personal soloperformers, giving and taking, sometimes very close and at other times far away with melodic fragments continuing into silence. Both produce the sound that always makes the first note ring like a clear fingerprint. It's very naked, nothing hidden, natural and in a way totally clear but abstract enough so when you are nearly able to hum along with one of the melodies the music is already gone. You can never touch this music, but you can be touched. It's surely spiritual music to get lost in.

Together Biggi Vinkeloe and Barre Phillips create a spontaneous, naturally melodic sound mirror, listening, letting each note grow and breathe, like a never ending beauty of good spirit.' Peeter Uuskyla
